Silos for Twilight are ruins for horizontal light. These are a series of buildings designed for the absence (with the absence) of something that will never arrive, or routinely arrives but always departs. Every sunrise and sunset the shallow light illuminates unreachable spaces and impassable gaps. Scattered throughout are voids only ever reached with the eye and filled by the light. The buildings are also deceptive, with spaces that appear “normal” but proportions slightly skewed so the steps on the stairs are awkwardly too high and too short, and the passageways oddly too narrow. These buildings are slightly uncomfortable, awkward, clearly not designed for the adult human.
